East West University Center for Research and Training (EWUCRT) organized a seminar on “Effect of shape and material of reflectors on albedo collection for bifacial solar panels” at the East West University (EWU) campus, Aftabnagar, Dhaka on 30 September 2018. The research proposal was presented by Dr. M. Ryyan Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, EWU. Dr. Muhammad A. Alam, Jai N. Gupta, Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Purdue University, United States of America (USA) and Dr. Anisul Haque, Professor, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, EWU were the co-researcher of this project.  In their presentation, Dr. Khan dwelt on the prospects and suitability of coming up with bifacial solar panels that would be of optimum value in Bangladesh in terms of energy, costs, utilization and technical requirements.  

The seminar was conducted by Dr. Rafiqul Huda Chaudhury, Member, Board of Trustees, EWU and Chairperson of EWUCRT. Professor Dr. Fakrul Alam, Pro Vice Chancellor of EWU, Professor Dr. Tanbir Ahmed Chowdhury, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics,  Dr. Muhammed Shahriar Haque, Executive Director, EWUCRT along with a large number of faculty members, officials of EWUCRT, and students of EWU also attended the seminar.
